We are excited to welcome M.J. Vaidya as an Executive Advisor at acceligence. M.J. brings more than 25 years of experience operating at the intersection of technology, AI, cybersecurity, and enterprise transformation, advising boards and executive teams as they navigate complexity, risk, and large-scale change. His career spans Fortune 500 leadership roles, global consulting partnerships, and academic leadership, giving him a uniquely balanced perspective on both strategy and execution.
M.J. currently served as Global Chief Information Officer (CIO) and Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) at JELD-WEN, where he led a global organization of more than 250 professionals across technology, digital, AI, shared services, and cybersecurity. In this role, he oversaw enterprise technology and cyber operations across more than 90 manufacturing facilities worldwide. He led major transformations across finance, HR, infrastructure, and cybersecurity, delivering significant cost savings through cloud modernization, automation, and portfolio optimization while embedding AI and analytics into core business processes.
A trusted advisor to boards and senior leadership teams, M.J. regularly engages executive committees and boards of directors on cybersecurity risk, operational resilience, AI governance, and regulatory readiness. He is known for translating technical complexity into clear business decisions, helping leaders align investment, governance, and operating models with long-term enterprise value.
Prior to JELD-WEN, M.J. spent eight years as a Senior Partner and Cyber Practice Leader at Ernst & Young (EY), where he served as global client partner for some of the firm’s most complex accounts. He held approximately $210 million in combined P&L responsibility and led a global network of partners and teams delivering technology, digital, AI, and cybersecurity programs. His work spanned GenAI adoption, responsible AI governance, supply chain risk management, cloud transformation, and M&A due diligence and integration.
Earlier in his career, M.J. held senior leadership roles across industry and consulting, including serving as Global CISO at Abbott Laboratories and as Global Product Development and Americas CISO at General Motors, where he led the transformation of connected-product and IoT cybersecurity strategies. He also held leadership roles at PwC, Deloitte, and Accenture, helping build and scale technology and risk consulting practices across multiple industries.
In parallel with his executive and advisory work, M.J. has served as an Adjunct Professor at New York University for more than 13 years, teaching graduate-level courses on cybersecurity strategy, responsible AI, engineering management, and cyber risk management for law and policy programs. He is a published author, keynote speaker, and frequent contributor to global industry forums, and he has been recognized as an Aspen Institute Scholar for Enterprise Innovation.
“M.J. has lived at the intersection of cybersecurity, enterprise technology, and AI at a time when those domains are colliding in real and consequential ways,” said Justin Greis, Chief Executive Officer of acceligence. “He’s sat in multiple chairs, made high-stakes decisions under real-world pressure, and tackled some of the most complex trust and emerging technology challenges organizations face today. That perspective is incredibly valuable for boards and leadership teams navigating what comes next.”
As an Executive Advisor, M.J. will work closely with acceligence clients and leadership teams on technology strategy, AI adoption, cybersecurity, enterprise transformation, and board-level governance. His addition further strengthens acceligence’s ability to help organizations navigate high-stakes decisions where innovation, risk, and execution converge.
