About Mike
Michael Casey is a pioneering technology strategist, architect, and transformation leader whose three decades at the forefront of enterprise platforms, cloud innovation, and AI-driven reinvention have made him one of the most trusted voices in modern systems design. Known for redefining what is possible in ERP, architecture, and delivery performance, he has spent his career steering Fortune 500 organizations through seismic technology shifts by blending deep engineering rigor with an inventor’s instinct for finding the next advantage.
Across leadership roles at Ernst & Young (EY) and Accenture, Michael built a reputation as the person companies call when the stakes are high, the complexity is daunting, and the path forward requires equal parts vision and precision. At EY, he served as Enterprise Technology CTO within the Technology Consulting practice, where he researched emerging tech trends, shaped next-generation service offerings, and guided teams and clients through large-scale transformations. His work spanned industries including high-tech, retail, agriculture, manufacturing, beverages, chemicals, and utilities, grounding his insights in real-world cross-industry patterns.
A prolific innovator, Michael invented, developed, and scaled multiple technology platforms that have reshaped how enterprises modernize. These include cloud acceleration solutions delivering tenfold infrastructure performance improvements at a fraction of the cost, FinOps automation capabilities generating sustained 40 percent savings with zero startup investment, hybrid cloud and data fabric architectures that established modern operating foundations, and AI-powered design tooling that brought best practices, research agents, and enterprise architecture intelligence to scale. His methodologies have been featured at NVIDIA’s GTC conference for their impact on accelerating AI adoption within complex ERP ecosystems.
Michael is equally recognized for his consulting and transformation leadership. He has created and delivered innovation methodologies, structured enterprise-wide technology strategies, and built technology Centers of Excellence that grew from small founding teams into influential global capabilities. His career includes more than 20 successful ERP go-lives and leadership of implementation, engineering, and product development programs ranging from 20 to 120 people. With a signature blend of design thinking, architecture depth, and pragmatic delivery instincts, he has shaped strategies for some of the world’s most complex transformation efforts.
Before joining EY, Michael spent more than two decades at Accenture, ultimately serving as Managing Director for the SAP Practice and North American lead for next-generation ERP and digital enterprise transformation. He helped define Accenture’s High-Velocity Enterprise strategy, shaped the firm’s flagship methods and assets, and advised CIOs, CTOs, and architects on modernization pathways that blended agile and waterfall approaches long before hybrid delivery became industry standard. He was also a featured presenter in Accenture’s global “SAP Storytellers” program, where he coached teams on how to articulate transformation in ways that sparked imagination and accelerated alignment.
Michael’s influence extends beyond delivery and strategy into the broader technology ecosystem. He has engaged deeply with vendors, hyperscalers, and industry analysts including Gartner, IDC, HfS, and Forrester to shape market understanding around emerging architectures, AI patterns, and cloud-native operating models. His ability to translate early-stage signals into actionable enterprise roadmaps has earned him top-tier ratings on strategic dimensions across multiple analyst evaluations.
A committed mentor and educator, Michael has served as a guest lecturer at Indiana University and Notre Dame, where he contributes to the development of the next generation of technology and business leaders. He is also an active community mentor with The BASE Chicago. His recent work includes publications on generative AI’s impact on ERP customers, reflecting his ongoing commitment to advancing industry thinking.
Michael holds a Bachelor of Science from the University of Notre Dame. A lifelong learner and creator, he is known for bringing curiosity, clarity, and a calm, forward-looking mindset to every engagement. Whether he is architecting a multibillion-dollar transformation, inventing a new delivery method, or coaching executives on navigating the next era of enterprise technology, he brings the same philosophy: simplify boldly, innovate responsibly, and design for extraordinary outcomes.
