About Nidhi

Nidhi Luthra is a cybersecurity and enterprise risk executive who works with executive leadership and boards to operationalize technology risk governance in highly regulated environments. Over more than two decades, she has led security, risk, and resilience programs across healthcare delivery, medical technology, and global manufacturing organizations where trust directly impacts revenue, valuation, and regulatory standing. She is experienced in leading cyber programs during inflection points – acquisitions, carve-outs, integrations, digital transformation, and crisis response – when disciplined risk governance must move at the speed of growth. Her work has focused on aligning cybersecurity with regulatory expectations, operational reliability, and large-scale business change.

Most recently, Nidhi served as Global Chief Information Security Officer at Baxter International, a global Fortune 500 medical technology manufacturing company operating across patient facing connected-platforms, pharmaceuticals, and nutrition. She led enterprise cybersecurity and technology risk under board oversight and advised leadership on regulatory exposure, operational resilience, and risk prioritization. During her tenure, the cybersecurity program expanded beyond compliance into product security, incident response governance, and integration with enterprise risk management processes. She supported major corporate transactions, including the separation of the Vantive business to private equity ownership and the integration of Hillrom, leading cybersecurity diligence, separation architecture, and transition service planning to maintain operational continuity during business change. Her role focused on identifying operational dependencies, defining security responsibilities across entities, and reducing disruption risk during transition periods.

Prior to Baxter, Nidhi held senior cybersecurity leadership roles at Abbott, where she led global cyber risk programs spanning corporate systems, manufacturing operations, and the protection of Intellectual property. She partnered with engineering and manufacturing teams to align remediation and protection strategies with regulatory and safety expectations, including support for Manufacturing 4.0 initiatives and protection of sensitive operations and information.

Earlier, she served as Chief Information Security Officer for AMITA Health (now part of Ascension), where she consolidated security governance across a multi-hospital system during acquisition integration and strengthened regulatory readiness and medical device security practices. At Stericycle, she led global security and infrastructure modernization across 22 countries, including data center consolidation and development of a repeatable cybersecurity integration approach for acquisitions.

Beyond operating roles, Nidhi serves on the Board of Milaan Foundation and advises emerging cybersecurity companies through industry networks including Cyberstarts. She also holds leadership roles in peer communities including Vice Chair of Inspire ChicagoCISO and was formerly the Co-Chair of the Governing Body of Gartner’s C-Level executive cybersecurity community, contributing to cross-industry collaboration on security governance and emerging risk. A recognized industry voice, Nidhi has participated in U.S. government and industry forums on cybersecurity readiness and is a graduate of the FBI CISO Academy. Her recognitions include ORBIE Global CISO finalist, Top 25 Women Chief Information Security Officers (2024), and “50 Women to Watch for Boards.”

Nidhi holds graduate degrees in labor relations and telecommunications policy and executive certificates from Cornell University and MIT Sloan. She is known for pragmatic leadership and for integrating security into operational decision-making during periods of growth and transformation.
