About Paul
Paul Bierbusse is a global operating executive and enterprise transformation architect with more than 30 years of experience advising Global 1000 boards, CEOs, and executive teams. He is known for bringing disciplined financial judgment, operational rigor, and steady leadership to complex growth, restructuring, and large-scale transformation efforts. His philosophy is simple and consistent: no agenda, only outcomes.
Paul has built and led multimillion-dollar businesses, managed global P&Ls, and governed enterprise-wide transformation programs across the Consumer, Retail, Restaurant, and Technology sectors. His work connects strategy to execution with clear accountability for growth, margin expansion, capital efficiency, and long-term resilience. He is frequently called upon when organizations need clarity at scale – aligning financial performance, operating design, technology enablement, and governance into a single, coherent value-creation agenda.
During nearly two decades as a senior partner at EY, Paul held multiple executive leadership roles across the firm’s global platform. As Americas Consumer Sector Consulting Leader, he helped drive approximately $900 million in revenue with sustained double-digit growth. As National Consulting COO, he held P&L and talent management responsibility across more than ten competencies. Paul also led EY US’s internal enterprise transformation program that identified more than $1 billion in recurring savings, delivering over $350 million during execution. Paul’s operating and delivery experience spanned assignments across the United States, Canada, Latin America, the Middle East, and Australia.
Paul also served as lead executive on some of the most complex operating transformations within the Consumer and Restaurant sectors. In partnership with Chick-fil-A’s executive leadership, he helped design and launch vertically integrated operating entities – Chick-fil-A Supply and Bay Center Foods – strengthening cost transparency, supply chain resilience, and enterprise control. He guided major transformation programs for organizations including Bristol Myers Squibb, Kraft Foods, Mars, and SAB Miller, aligning strategy, analytics, operations, and governance to drive durable enterprise value. Paul also served as the Global Client Service Partner for Restaurant Brands International (parent company of Burger King, Popeyes, Tim Hortons and Firehouse Subs) and Baldwin Richardson Foods (a rapidly growing, privately held CPG company).
Earlier in his career, Paul held senior operating roles at SAS, where he managed a $60 million services business and led large-scale analytics and performance initiatives for Fortune 500 clients. He began his career at Procter & Gamble, grounding his advisory work in disciplined financial management and operational execution.
A published thought leader in performance management and decision analytics, Paul has contributed to the Harvard Business Review and leading finance journals. He currently serves on the Board of Directors of TechBridge, advancing digital equity through technology access and workforce development, and as an Executive in Residence at The University of Notre Dame’s Mendoza College of Business.
Paul holds an MBA in Finance and Accounting and a BBA in Finance and Business Economics from the University of Notre Dame.
