About Pilar

Pilar Dostal is a strategic transformation executive, leadership advisor, and executive coach with more than 25 years of experience helping global organizations navigate complexity, accelerate growth, and lead through large-scale change. She is known for combining sharp strategic thinking with a deeply human leadership approach – helping executive teams align transformation with culture, decision-making, and organizational effectiveness. Her philosophy is grounded in a simple belief: sustainable transformation only happens when leaders are willing to evolve alongside the organizations they lead.

Pilar has advised Fortune 500 executive teams across Consumer Products, Retail, Industrials, Technology, and Media through some of the most consequential moments in their histories: mergers and acquisitions, divestitures, operating model redesigns, performance improvement initiatives, and multi-year transformation programs. Her work consistently bridges strategy and execution, translating ambitious growth agendas into measurable outcomes while strengthening leadership alignment, governance, and long-term resilience.

During her two decades as a Partner at EY and EY-Parthenon, Pilar held multiple senior leadership roles across the firm’s U.S. Strategy and Transactions platform. As EY-Parthenon Deal Management Partner and Denver Office Leader, she led large-scale transaction and transformation programs for Fortune 100 and middle-market companies while overseeing talent, growth strategy, and operational performance. She also served as Operations Leader for EY’s Americas Strategy practice, responsible for financial performance, recruiting, and industry-leading retention across the national practice, while playing a central role in several of the firm’s own operating model and strategy refresh initiatives. Her leadership extended into advisory and governance councils supporting EY’s Global CEO, U.S. CEO, and Americas leadership teams.

Over time, Pilar became increasingly focused on the human dimensions of transformation. She observed that the most difficult organizational challenges were rarely technical alone; they were rooted in leadership dynamics, self-awareness, trust, and the capacity to navigate uncertainty with authenticity and courage. That realization expanded her work into leadership development and executive coaching.

Today, Pilar works with executives and leadership teams to strengthen leadership effectiveness, team alignment, and organizational culture through strategic advisory, developmental coaching, and immersive facilitation. As founder of Humanity Flourishing LLC, she helps leaders develop the awareness, resilience, and authenticity required to lead through complexity while remaining grounded in purpose and humanity. Her approach integrates decades of enterprise transformation experience with developmental coaching methodologies, Integral Coaching®, and Whole Brain® Thinking frameworks.

Pilar is also a published thought leader on transformation, leadership, operating model design, and the evolving intersection of people and technology, reflecting her belief that enduring business performance and meaningful human leadership are not competing priorities, but deeply connected ones.

She currently serves as Advisory Board Chair for American Woman Spirits Company. Pilar holds an MBA in Corporate Strategy and Organizational Behavior from the University of Michigan Ross School of Business, a BA in Interpersonal and Nonverbal Communication from the University of Colorado at Boulder, and is a Professional Certified Coach through New Ventures West.

She lives in Colorado, where the mountains provide space for reflection and renewal. A lifelong musician, she sings in bands and rock choirs and believes the same authenticity, presence, and human connection found in music are central to meaningful leadership. Her husband, Jared, and son, Keenan, are a constant source of love, learning, and meaning.
